It has a very vibrant green color, since the youngest leaves have the most substantial amount of chlorophyll. The taste is very smooth, rich with a full body, delicately grassy and not bitter.
Uji Matcha Powder
Matcha is a powdered tencha* historically used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Our Uji Matcha is a premium culinary grade matcha with a rich vegetal fragrance, vibrant green color, smooth texture, and delicate aftertaste.
You can enjoy our Uji Matcha on its own or in culinary creations.
Premium Matcha
Premium Matcha is origin from Japan Nishio. It’s a culinary grade higher than Baking Matcha. Premium Matcha’s tastes a bit stronger (astringent or bitter) than Uji grade. But that extra taste strength makes it more suitable to balance with the creamy taste of milk for matcha latte, mocha cream cheesecake or whom ever likes the stronger taste bud.
It’s suitable to use for baking/dessert/matcha latte/topping etc.
Baking Matcha
Our Baking Matcha powder is origin from Japan Nishio, culinary grade, which is most often used for cooking and baking. It’s also fine to drink culinary matcha, which is still a very high quality tea, just with a slightly different flavor profile than ceremonial grade matcha. Culinary grade matcha isn’t necessarily a lower quality product, it’s just prepared differently for a different use – and it features different characteristics. Baking Matcha is yellow green in color.
Our Baking Matcha powder is specifically blended for use with other ingredients in recipes for food and beverages. It’s enhanced flavor profile pairs perfectly with other flavors, creating delicious green tea lattes, matcha smoothies and green tea based baked goods, ice-cream, smoothie
Japanese Sencha
Japanese sencha tea is the most popular Japanese tea. Sencha green tea can have a range of flavors, including grass, sweet, astringent, spinach, kiwi, brussel sprouts or kale. Color ranges from very light green to yellow. Depending on how you brew it, it can be more or less astringent with a sweet aftertaste and pronounced savory note.
Hoji Matcha
It is a great combination of Hoji Matcha, its taste has a soothing, almost therapeutic earthy and smoky aroma.
The taste of Matcha & Hojicha makes it a perfect ingredient for any kind of baking, latte, food recipes or smoothie
How to make matcha
1. For the best effect, strain matcha with a tea sieve first, and warm a tea bowl and dry it completely.
2. Add about one or one and a half bamboo spoon of matcha powder around 2g into the bowl.
3. Prepare 80 degree celcius water – first boil water to the boiling point, transfer it to a separate empty bowl and cool it to 80 degree
4. Pour 80 degree hot water into the warmed tea bowl (up to one third) and mix it with matcha powder well by using the tea whisk.
Note:
Best to consume the matcha immediately before the particles sink to the bottom of the tea bowl.
We hope you enjoy our Matcha as much as we do!
